How to Help Low-income Customers

The Water Systems Council has created a 501(c)3 organization called The Water Well Trust (WWT). The WWT helps build wells for low-income families without access to a clean, safe drinking water supply. They are the only national nonprofit that help Americans in this situation.

Beneficiaries of the Water Well Trust are low-income families or individuals that have wells that are no longer functioning properly, have contamination issues that render the well unusable, or have no well or safe water source.

In order to qualify for assistance, the applicant must own and occupy the home. Their household income cannot exceed the median non-metropolitan household income for their state. Assistance is provided in the form of low interest, long term loans for up to $11,000 per household.

If you would like to help such a family or want more information, please visit Waterwelltrust.org – a 501(c)3 organization created by the Water Systems Council to promote wells.
