There are approximately 150,000 public water systems that provide drinking water in the United States.
It is also estimated that over 13 million homes use private wells for drinking water.
So keeping drinking water safe in municipal water supplies and in water wells is a priority in this country. That is why Webtrol’s WS Series Pumps are tested and wear the CSA symbol.
The CSA was formed in 1919 and exists to develop safety and performance standards. The CSA registered mark shows that a product has been independently tested and certified to meet recognized standards for safety or performance by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory.
One of the Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories is NSF (National Sanitation Foundation). NSF International tests and certifies that products meet the requirements of strict public health standards. The NSF Water Division certifies products that come into contact with drinking water such as submersible water well pumps. The Webtrol WS Series stainless steel water well pumps carry NSF certifications:
NSF/ANSI 61: Drinking Water System Components – Health Effects
NSF/ANSI 372: Drinking Water System Components – Lead Content
According to the The Public Health and Safety Organization:
“If you manufacture, sell or distribute water treatment or distribution products in North America, your products are required to comply with NSF/ANSI/CAN 61: Drinking Water System Components – Health Effects by most governmental agencies that regulate drinking water supplies.”
The Webtrol WS Series pumps are made of all 304 stainless steel components and are designed for municipal, commercial, and residential applications.
